About Yakhiyakhan
I am Yakhiya, an international student at Wuhan College in China, where I have been living for 2–3 years. That means every day I navigate real Chinese — buying food, making friends, attending university lectures — all in Mandarin. I have lived and breathed the languages I teach. My level is HSK 4, and I am still actively growing, which is exactly why I understand my students so well. Before moving to China, I worked as an online tutor at one of Kazakhstan's leading education agencies, specializing in preparing students for university studies in China. I helped real students achieve the language level they needed to get accepted and thrive abroad — not just pass a test, but actually survive and succeed in a Chinese-speaking environment. I also served as MC at English Corner events hosted for Chinese students, where I facilitated conversation, built confidence in public speaking, and created a space where language felt fun rather than frightening.
