About Daniel
I recently transferred to WCSU and am working through my Chemistry major - Math minor degree there. Before that I was a student at UMaine, where I discovered my love of Chemistry!
I've had my share of setbacks, so I'm very understanding of the difficulties we face as students. I'm willing to explain a concept multiple times and in different ways until it finally clicks! Intuition creates a strong foundation for detail and rigor to build upon.
During my time at UMaine I discovered I had an aptitude for teaching and helping others, and have spent several semesters working with various professors as their classroom assistants. These lectures typically had 50-100 students.
In addition, I've run my own private tutoring service where I've helped my peers with general chemistry and organic chemistry. In total I've privately tutored 10 individuals; some for occasional sessions as needed, and others for continuing sessions for the duration of a course. Many of these individuals went on to ace their troublesome class.
It's important to remember that going to the gym doesn't automatically make you healthier; you have to work hard. Likewise, tutoring will only strengthen your intellect if you put in the hard work, and I'm here to help you succeed!

I can only teach what I know so far, and that includes General Chemistry through to Organic Chemistry, as well as any Mathematical concept up to Linear Algebra and Differential Equations. I can help with anything up to, and including, undergraduate level material.
I work well one-on-one and in small groups! Sometimes it feels as though we're thrown into a subject without a sense of the big picture, which is why I find conceptual understanding to be paramount. We will take the time to strengthen your intuition, and focus on the nuanced details afterwards.
You will be provided with example problems, online resources and open, honest conversation. I won't recite facts at you, or assume I have every answer. True understanding starts with admitting what we do not yet know.
