About Elena
I am a piano tutor with over 9 years of teaching experience and hold a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a Piano Emphasis. My journey with the instrument has allowed me to explore and teach a wide range of pianos, including Grand, Upright, Player, Digital, Acoustic, Electric Keyboard, and Classical piano. Each type offers unique possibilities, and I enjoy helping students discover how to express themselves through whichever piano suits their goals best. My teaching specialises in chord theory, ear training, improvisation, sight-reading, and musical interpretation. I believe in building strong foundations while encouraging creativity, so students can play with both technical skill and expressive freedom. Over the years, I have worked with learners of all kinds, from complete beginners to advanced performers and even those at the professional or expert stage. I use a student-centred approach, tailoring lessons to fit the needs of school students, adult learners, and professionals alike. Every lesson is designed to be engaging, supportive, and aligned with each student’s personal goals. I have been playing and teaching piano for over 9 years, and my goal is to help every student find their unique voice through music. My teaching blends classical foundations with pop, jazz, and contemporary styles, giving learners both versatility and confidence. I believe that strong technique and creative expression go hand in hand. Each lesson is carefully personalised, whether you are just beginning or polishing advanced skills. I make use of modern tools such as ear training apps, metronomes, and digital audio workstations to sharpen timing, improve pitch, and spark creativity. These resources help students learn faster, practise smarter, and enjoy the process. I also guide those exploring pathways in music production and performance, offering support to develop skills that translate to both stage and studio. Many of my students benefit from structured coaching that balances discipline with freedom to experiment. My approach is warm, supportive, and student-friendly. I focus on building not only strong technique but also confidence and passion. Together, we will make music learning inspiring, rewarding, and enjoyable.
