About Jacklyn
I’m a vocalist, pianist, composer, and songwriter with a background in jazz composition from Princeton University, where I was honored with both the Louis Sudler Prize in the Arts and the Isidore and Helen Sacks Prize in Music. Most recently, I served as an artist-in-residence at the Fondation des États-Unis in Paris through the Fulbright Program and the Harriet Hale Woolley Fellowship. My work has been recognized with DownBeat Student Music Awards for vocal performance and the John Wallowich Award for songwriting. I’ve performed original projects at venues and festivals including the Litchfield Jazz Festival, the Sultan Room, the Mercury Lounge, the Bitter End, Les Disquaires, and the Musée Petit Palais. I look forward to working with you and supporting your musical journey.

My approach to teaching focuses on building a strong foundation in technique, musicality, and stylistic understanding—while fostering a genuine enjoyment of music. Lessons are tailored to each student’s goals and interests. Whether you have a clear direction or are still discovering what you enjoy, I offer a wide repertoire to support your growth. Instruction includes: Beginner lessons (all ages) Performance and audition preparation Exploration of diverse genres and styles I’m committed to helping students engage with music they love—whether it’s Bach, Taylor Swift, or anything in between. All levels are welcome.
