About Emma

I am a certified Purejoy parent coach with over 4 years experience of coaching parents, guiding them in using a self-awareness practice which leads them to experience more joy in their parenting. I am passionate and dedicated to teaching the SafeSeat process and this is born out of my own experience of the transformational effects the SafeSeat process has had in my life. I was once struggling, not just in my parenting, but also with intermittent depression and low self-esteem. This process has given me a profound sense of freedom and completeness in my life and my relationship with myself and my children has never been sweeter. If this sounds like something you would like to experience in your parenting then get in touch. I look forward to passing on this wonderful process for you to use in your journey of re-parenting yourself. * I completed 2 levels of training (run by founder of Purejoy Parenting, psychotherapist and parent coach, Leslie Potter), which each required 8 months of intensive theoretical and practical learning alongside deep emotional processing. My training is certified by the International Coaching Federation.* I engage in on-going supervision support.

About the lesson

Are you finding parenting challenging? Then it’s time for some support! * Welcome to Purejoy Parenting! * My coaching will support you to offer deep kindness to yourself while exploring the dynamics playing out between you and your child. * I provide a safe, confidential space for you to bring all of your parenting issues and emotional struggles. Everything is welcome! * I use a tool called the SafeSeat process which I will teach you to use at home. This practice gives you a place to go when you are stressed out, to take care of the younger one in you who needs to be seen, heard and loved for who you are. Don’t we all need that? Whether it’s the crying of a newborn, toddler tantrums, homework troubles or sulky teens. Whatever the age or stage of your child, this process gives you a way to take care of yourself so you can create an emotionally safe space for you and then be that emotionally safe place for your child. This will support them to learn emotional intelligence and you will discover more joy in your parenting! I found that using strategies to try and get my children to behave differently did not work for me. The more I tried to control my children to get them to behave in ways that I felt comfortable with, the more dysregulated we all became and I felt increasing emotional distance getting in the way of the loving relationship I had always wanted to have with my kids. The SafeSeat process turned my life around! My relationship with myself and my kids has never been so sweet. What I found when I discovered Purejoy Parenting is that I could not give my children the emotionally safe environment and unconditional love that I so desperately wanted to give them, until I learnt to give that to myself. That is what the SafeSeat process does. Using this process I will show you how to give yourself that unconditional love - loving and welcoming all of who you are. Then you can give the same to your child. I offer individual 1:1 sessions and an 8 week, course which you can access either 1:1 (£380) or in a small group of 4-6 people. (£150 each person) The course consists of 8 sessions - 1 hour a week via zoom - plus written material to support your practice at home. I have some amazing FREE offers for a limited period.
