About William
I obtained my EMT certification while in high school and a year after graduating pursued and successfully achieved my paramedic certification. I have been a paramedic for 41 years and have been an educator for 25 years instructing EMT and Paramedic programs. I have also served as a state and national skill exam evaluator for clinical competency required for certification. I started my nursing career as an LPN and worked in that role for 30 years before pursuing my associate degree through Excelsior College to obtain my RN license. I attended Penn College of Technology to earn my bachelor's degree. I am currently enrolled in Chamberlain University pursuing an MSN degree. I have considerable experience in a variety of settings both in and out of the hospital. In addition to my experience as an educator in EMS, I have experience as an interim clinical nurse educator, developing and instructing courses for nursing staff in the medical-surgical, critical care, and emergency departments.

I spend the first lesson gathering information about the student, the learning style that works for them and together we develop a plan to achieve the outcome they desire from tutoring.
Throughout my educational journey, I struggled with learning, retaining information, and taking exams. I had to develop methods that worked for my learning style to achieve success.
I can assist with subject matter in nursing (PN and RN), EMT, and Paramedic courses. I can also help prepare for NCLEX and NREMT exams.
