About Darrell
Having graduated from the Guildford School of Acting in 2020, I have worked as an actor for the past 5 years. Happily, in 2022, I was asked to return to Guildford to work with the school on the assessment of incoming applicants to the BA (Hons) Acting course. It is a privilege to engage with the materials that candidates so bravely submit, and with each turn of the auditioning year, I spend time wondering on all those conversations I would have loved to have had with those people auditioning to study. There are no deep secrets to achieving success in a drama school audition (and of those who might suggest that there are, I am wary!) but it is true that there are things to consider if it's the case you want to get the most out of the experience.

Auditioning at drama schools in the UK is one of the most daunting, most challenging and most exciting of expeditions for creatively minded people.
