About Oyewole
Taofeek Oyewole Lawal is a visual artist, storyteller, and a photojournalist with 3 years experience and practices. He has a background in Sociology from the university of Lagos, He is interested in exploring societal narratives. He believes that photography is not just about creating visually interesting images, it is about storytelling, about feelings and it’s about been apprehensive.
He is currently a member of the Indigenous Photographs, and African Photojournalism Database (APJD), and his works has been exhibited at the Lagos Photo Festival '20 "Home Museum", JPClark Center, UNILAG “Lagos Ownership and Identity Exhibition”, Alliance Francais Lagos “E GET WHY Photo Exhibition”, Bamako, Mali “COSMOS OF SPACE OF PLACE AND TIME”, among others. He also has been trained in institutions like Nlele, Tellthatstory, Nigeria institute of Journalism and others. He got featured by World Press Photo, Foto Factory (Lagos), Streetphotographymagazine.
