About Daniel
I am 21 years old and currently looking to teach piano in my summer and while I complete my law conversion course. I achieved distinction for grade 8 on piano and violin and am now diploma standard on both. I have previously taught family friends piano at a lower level of grade 1-3. I was the Steinway Scholar at Trinity School for two years in a row, and continue to perform in recitals as well as competitions.

My approach to lessons will be unique to the student and their standard to ensure that the experience is as enjoyable and enriching as possible. As my teacher is my Father who is a professor of piano at the Royal College of Music, I have been able to retain and fully understand all techniques that he has taught me. To briefly expand, for some students, I would recommend simpler techniques such as 'finger legato' to ensure a fluid and even sound is created. However, this may differ depending on standard, and so for more challenging pieces which require the full range of the piano I would suggest more methodical techniques such as practicing at a slow tempo but with quick hand movement.
