About Philippe
I have just graduated from Oxford this year, having studied Economics and Management. I have previous experience teaching the Thinking Skills Assessment (TSA), and providing other university application tuition. With Access Oxbridge, I have tutored students through the TSA and helped them secure interviews at Oxford. Having gone through the Oxford application process myself less than 4 years ago myself, I understand what is required in a successful applicant, in terms of TSA performance, personal statements and interview skills. I also achieved the 2nd highest TSA score of 1317 Economics and Management applicants in my year of application. I have other tutoring experience, at a summer school and before that teaching maths at a primary school.

I give lessons to those looking to apply to university, and particularly to those who are applying to Oxbridge, and who have to sit the TSA. My lessons focus on three aspects of the application process: the TSA, personal statements and interviewing. If the tutee feels they only need tuition on one of these aspects, such as the TSA, then my tuition will focus solely on this. I go through the types of question that can come up in the TSA and how to answer them, and go through practice papers. I outline what makes a good personal statement, provide examples and guide student through the process of writing their own personal statement. I also conduct practice interviews that mirror what an Oxbridge interview might look like.
