About Rahul

Hi, I'm Rahul, an 18 year old Oxford medical student who's just finished first year. I'd love to help with medical interview practise (especially for oxbridge candidates) having successfully navigated interviews at Southampton, King's, UCL and Oxford. I would also love to tutor biology, chemistry and maths up to AS level (including GCSE). These were my A-level options for which I was awarded 3A*s. Finally, I would happily tutor 11+/common entrance level maths, English, verbal and non-verbal reasoning. The teaching style I'm most used to is the Socratic Method as this is generally used in Oxford tutorials. It helps students understand the fundamental principles surrounding complex concepts in ways they can easily visualise so that they have a deeper understanding. However, I will happily adapt teaching to students with visual, auditory and kinaesthetic learning styles. Perfect! Before my Oxford medicine interviews, I received several lessons from Rahul, and his guidance played a crucial role in securing my spot at the college I desired! Rahul's mock interviews closely mirrored the actual experience, and his valuable advice proved incredibly beneficial. Through our sessions, I gained insights not only into interview techniques but also into the field of medicine as a whole. Rahul's extensive experience, particularly in assisting students with Oxbridge admissions, provided me with detailed and constructive feedback that greatly contributed to my preparation.

Having known Rahul in the past year it is clear to see he is a competent, thorough, and engaging individual who's talents are suited perfectly towards tutoring. He is able to clearly explain difficult concepts and also emphasises the prioritisation of information so that facts are not merely recalled but discussed in a logical way that deeply aids understanding. These skills are not only vital for exams but are also key in interview situations (particularly in medicine) and in higher education.
