About Leonardo
I am currently a PhD student of Comparative Literature at Trinity College, University of Oxford. In the past, I enjoyed working as a tutor and a teaching assistant in London. I am enthusiastic about helping students with their university application (particularly Oxbridge ones) because I think the process of putting together a personal statement and a writing portfolio can be an occasion for intellectual growth and a clearer notion of one's ambitions. I also enjoy teaching transferable skills—such as academic writing—that students will then be able to apply across a variety of disciplines within the Humanities. I have taken the "Preparation for Learning and Teaching at Oxford" course and will start tutoring undergraduates at Trinity College and in the English Faculty the next academic year. Perfect! Leonardo
Leonardo has taught my 10 year old and my 5 year old english. He is reliable, punctual and organised, gets the kids to work hard, sets them homework to consolidate the lessons. I would highly recommend him. My 10 year old says he is 'outstanding' at teaching latin.

Leonardo is a very capable, punctual and responsible tutor, he has been able to motivate my son in a subject that was his worst and never looked forward to do any revision or study due to the fact his lack of understanding. My son’s approach to the subject has changed , he understands the reason to and the how to so many declensions...at last!!
