About Alan
I am a passionate Piano teacher with 14 years of teaching experience, helping students discover the joy of music through personalized instruction. I teach school students, college students, and working professionals, creating lessons that are engaging, supportive, and easy to understand.
My teaching approach emphasizes flexibility, encouragement, and practical application. I understand that every student has unique goals, so I adapt my teaching methods to help them learn comfortably and effectively.
My classes include piano techniques, scales, chords, rhythm exercises, sight reading, ear training, music theory, improvisation, finger exercises, performance preparation, and musical expression. I focus on building confidence while helping students master essential techniques.
Apart from Piano, I teach keyboard techniques and basic music theory. These additional subjects help students become more confident musicians with a deeper understanding of music.
I enjoy seeing students grow in both skill and confidence. My aim is to inspire lifelong learning while making every Piano lesson meaningful and enjoyable.

My teaching style is centered on communication, creativity, flexibility, patience, and continuous improvement. I believe that piano learning should be both educational and enjoyable, helping students build confidence while developing strong musical skills.
I customize every lesson based on the student's learning speed, experience, and interests. Beginners focus on posture, finger techniques, note reading, rhythm, and basic music theory. As students progress, they learn scales, chords, arpeggios, dynamics, pedal techniques, sight reading, and expressive performance.
I encourage students to understand music through listening, observation, and practical application. Lessons include songs from different genres, helping students improve versatility while maintaining enthusiasm for learning. Creative activities such as simple improvisation and accompaniment are introduced whenever suitable.
Regular feedback, revision sessions, and personalized practice exercises ensure consistent progress. I always maintain open communication so students feel comfortable discussing challenges and celebrating achievements.
Besides piano, I teach keyboard techniques, music theory, rhythm training, ear training, performance preparation, sight reading, and music appreciation. These supporting subjects help students build a complete understanding of music.
My mission is to provide inspiring, structured, and student-focused lessons that help learners achieve their musical goals while developing discipline, confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love for piano and music.
