An operatic soprano from Hong Kong, graduated from Royal Academy of Music (Master of Music), and WIAV (Master of Art), and teaches singing to all levels.

Colette is my favourite vocal teacher, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have known her for over 20 years, since my time in Hong Kong.

Whenever I have an opportunity to perform a solo, I always turn to Colette for guidance. She has an amazing ability to identify my vocal weaknesses quickly and accurately, and she always offers practical, effective exercises and solutions to help me improve. Even during online lessons, she can pinpoint exactly what needs attention and guide me towards better results.

Over the years, she has helped me prepare for classical solo performances with Hull Choral Union, as well as my recent musical theatre performance in Avenue Q.

Colette is an exceptionally knowledgeable, perceptive and supportive teacher. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking to develop their voice and become a more confident performer

Colette taught my daughter singing last year. She was full of energy, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. I would recommend her to other students.

I enjoyed my singing classes with Colette a lot.
She worked with me on my voice on physical and mental levels which cover different perspectives from technique, practice to performance. In addition to her excellent technique and beautiful voice, she is observant and able to notice the subtle differences in my voice and body. She gives feedback, comments as well as exercises based on my level of understanding and ability to help me free up and find my truth voice.
As a professional dancer, I can tell Colette has a deep understanding of the human voice and a broad range of repertoire/ styles.

Colette has been everything I’ve needed in a singing teacher. She is very technical and very supportive, helping me rediscover and develop my classical sound.

I cannot recommend Colette highly enough. She has been teaching my young son, who has additional educational needs (SEN), for the past two years, and the difference she has made extends far beyond music lessons.

What sets Colette apart is her exceptional combination of musical expertise and her background in educational psychology. She instinctively understands how my son learns, adapting every lesson to suit his strengths while gently supporting him through his challenges. Her patience is remarkable—she never rushes him, celebrates every small success, and always finds creative ways to keep him engaged and motivated.

My son absolutely adores his lessons with Colette. She is one of his favourite tutors, and he genuinely looks forward to seeing her each week. That enthusiasm says everything. She has built such a strong relationship with him that he feels safe to make mistakes, ask questions, and challenge himself. Rather than simply teaching singing and musicianship, she nurtures his confidence, resilience, and love of learning.

One thing I particularly appreciate is that Colette sees the whole child, not just the student. She often shares thoughtful advice that helps my son navigate school, friendships, and everyday life. She has become a trusted mentor and positive role model—almost like a big sister to him. Her encouragement has given him confidence not only in music but in himself.

Over the past two years, I have watched my son's vocal skills, musicianship, confidence, and independence grow steadily under her guidance. Every lesson is thoughtfully planned, encouraging, and tailored to his needs. It is rare to find someone with such warmth, professionalism, and genuine care for their students.

Any family would be incredibly fortunate to have Colette as their tutor. She is an outstanding teacher, mentor, and person, and I recommend her without reservation.

Colette has been my teacher for more than 9 years. I used to have lesson in person in Hong Kong with her and when i moved to France we used facetime.
She is always supportive and patient when I have a difficulty she always finds the right image or exercise to go beyond it.
I have tremendously improve my technique and my voice thanks to Colette.
I recommend her a million times

My son has really enjoyed his singing lessons with Colette. She is very patient and always creates a supportive and encouraging environment. She not only focuses on vocal technique but also tailors each lesson to my son's personality and stage of development. Her personalised approach has helped build his confidence and enjoyment of singing. I would highly recommend her.

Colette has been teaching my 11-year-old daughter for the past 1.5 years. She is a talented teacher and has managed to really expand and broaden my daughter's abilities and understanding of the voice.

She has been a pleasure to work with. Always smiling and friendly. Very communicative. I would highly recommend Colette.

Our daughter has been studying with Colette for the last year for her grade 7 exam (Trinity) and her progress has been quite evident. Colette is a great teacher, passionate, kind but also focused on outcome, with great ability to motivate and engage. She achieved a very good result in her exam which we are very grateful for to Colette. Our daughter is now looking forward to her preparations for the grade 8 exam.

I got in touch with Colette through a friend from choir, and I have been taking lessons with her since October 2025.
She gives such enjoyable lessons and was able to create a true safe space for me to explore and work on my voice, which as a beginner felt extremely daunting before meeting Colette.
I love that she approaches singing through different lenses, thanks to her expansive knowledge of the mind, body, and more! The teaching is very personalized, and she adapts it to one's background and unique characteristics.
She has so much to share and finds the best words to explain concepts and feelings. I always leave a lesson more informed and inspired.
It has been great to be able to connect and know each other over the past few months. She really sets a thriving environment to improve!
I can't emphasize enough how wonderful studying with Colette is!
I look forward to continuing this learning journey with her.

I met Colette a year ago and had a great time with her. I really learned a lot through this journey; she's not only a good teacher but a friend for life. I appreciate your guidance and support so much.

What a fantastic teacher! My teenage daughter has been singing for many years at school, but through lessons with Colette she is really learning to control and extend her voice, preparing her for more advanced music exams and auditions. She is an engaging teacher and my daughter is always eager to attend lessons. Colette has also introduced new types of music and given her the confidence to spread her wings as a musician.
