One of our best tutors. Quality profile, experience in their field, verified qualifications and a great response time. Kristel will be happy to arrange your first Singing lesson.

About Kristel

I am a professional opera singer and graduate of the David Seligman Opera School at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff. Prior to this I read for a MA (Hons) German and Russian with music as part of the degree at the University of St Andrews. I teach both solo and choral singing, and my experience ranges from being musical director in university productions to being a member of renowned British classical/church choirs.

About the lesson

NB: WHEN CONTACTING ME, PLEASE WRITE YOUR DETAILED AVAILABILITY IN THE FIRST MESSAGE - I'M IN HIGH DEMAND NB: for online lessons you must have way of teaching yourself the notes of your songs. Due to the format, a teacher cannot play along with you in real time. I can tailor the teaching to the student's individual needs and ambitions - there's really no other way of teaching such a personal subject as singing, I believe. I am specialised in classical music but will happily teach musical repertoire too.

Kristel's response
My trial lesson with Fionna went well. She was very brave for her age and not afraid to try out the exercises I offered her. She also sang a song for me with no hesitating. She's got a beautiful voice and a good ear. I look forward to working with her.

Having worked with Kristel for almost 8 years, I can assure you you won't regret choosing her as a tutor: Not only are her language skills brilliant, but she is also an outgoing and approachable person, always happy to help others and share her knowledge with them. Kristel always spoke very fondly of her time as a substitute teacher at a local school and it is clear to me that she enjoys teaching.

Kristel is a knowledgeable, patient, and affable tutor who on multiple occasions has proof-read my essays, improving both my language skills and the clarity of my writing style. She is a hard-working individual who can express and explain things in a simple yet comprehensive manner while at the same time making the learning experience engaging and fun. The combination of Kristel's academic and practical experience of German (from her year abroad in Vienna) makes her a valuable and very helpful tutor.

Kristel was a top German student at her International Baccalaureate Diploma and since pursued the language at University. She's very passionate about languages and about teaching them and I'm confident she'd be a great tutor for any learner from beginner through very advanced levels. (I've done courses myself in German up to B2/C1 level).
