About Anna

Hi everyone! My name is Anna. I was born and raised in Russia, where the Russian language is not just a means of communication, but a deep reflection of history, emotions, humour, and everyday life. Growing up there allowed me to absorb the language naturally, together with its unique inner culture — the way people think, express feelings, and connect through words.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Russian and later completed a Master’s degree in Art in the UK, which gave me a strong cross-cultural perspective and helped me explain Russian language and culture in a clear, accessible way to international students.

Currently, I work as a Russian tutor at a Russian school in Notting Hill, London

About the lesson

In my teaching, I focus not only on grammar and vocabulary, but also on cultural context, real-life expressions, and nuances that help students truly feel the language rather than simply memorise it.
I’m passionate about helping students build confidence, understand the soul of the Russian language

Perfect! Unlike my previous classroom experience I now how much more confidence in speaking Russian. My pronunciation has improved and I find so much more enjoyment in my classes. Anna also has an excellent understanding of British culture, which helps to make things easily translatable.
