About Daniel
I have been certified by the NRA to teach this course since 2009. I have taught this particular course many times. In addition to the NRA courses I have taken, I have also attended firearms and defensive tactics at some of the premier schools across the United States.

National Rifle Association course, “Basics of Pistol Shooting,” (BOPS)
BOPS includes a time-tested curriculum developed by industry professionals at the NRA. It covers safety, the operations of pistols, fundamentals of pistol marksmanship, firearms ownership, cleaning, and handgun selection.
The course is suitable for youth (probably 12 and up) and adults (I welcome parent-child participation).
At the end of the course, participants are required to pass a knowledge test and shoot a basic qualification course of fire. Engaged participants generally pass without difficulty.
Each participant will receive a copy of the NRA’s Basics of Pistol Shooting Manual and a certificate of completion. This course exceeds the training requirement to obtain a Florida Concealed Weapon License.
