About Sienna
I am a piano tutor with 17 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Piano Studies. My passion lies in helping students actively participate in their learning while exploring the expressive power of music. I believe every piece tells a story, and I guide students to convey that narrative through technique and interpretation.
My lessons are designed to provide well-rounded training, blending history, theory, technique, and creative exploration. I adapt each session to match the student’s goals, strengths, and interests, ensuring a personalised learning experience. I encourage improvisation and composition alongside traditional repertoire to nurture creativity and confidence.
I have experience teaching students of all levels, from beginners discovering the keyboard to advanced players preparing for performance and exams. My approach emphasises musicality, technical precision, and emotional expression equally. Students learn to play with purpose, shape their tone, and connect deeply with the music.

I focus on building strong piano skills while nurturing each student’s musicality and confidence. Lessons are designed to balance technical mastery with creative exploration. Flexibility in genres allows students to explore classical, jazz, pop, soul, and contemporary styles while developing their own voice.
I emphasise steady growth through structured exercises, slow practice, and attention to phrasing and expression. Students learn to connect emotionally with the music while improving rhythm, dynamics, and articulation. I also incorporate improvisation and composition to encourage creative thinking and self-expression.
Lessons foster a supportive and inspiring environment where students feel confident performing and experimenting. I guide students in understanding musical structure, developing ear training, and strengthening sight-reading skills. My approach helps those aiming to compose, perform, or use music as a mindful practice to flourish.
