I speak Mandarin at a professional broadcaster’s level, and I will help you perfect your Mandarin pronunciation.

Hello! My Chinese name is Yuan. I am a professional Mandarin teacher. I do not pursue the number of students; I only focus on the quality of each class and the learning effect of students. Therefore, I only recruit 20 students, and I will provide in-depth accompanied Chinese learning.

To provide high-quality courses for each student, I will not only design personalized exclusive courses for everyone, but also design targeted homework exercises and pronunciation correction exercises for each student after class according to their learning situation, instead of assigning general homework. This requires extra time from me, because I am responsible for all my students and help everyone truly learn Chinese well and master Chinese well.

I am a native Beijinger and graduated from the Broadcasting and Hosting major of a top Chinese university, so I can teach you the most standard Mandarin. I hold an International Chinese Teacher Certificate and a Mandarin Certificate, and have taught in well-known online Chinese institutions for 6 years.

About the lesson

My Teaching Philosophy

1. For Adult Learners

My core teaching goal is to transfer language skills from the classroom to real life. I focus on developing a natural Chinese language sense and building a systematic Chinese thinking pattern, replacing the traditional one-way instruction with an interactive, motivating classroom centered on thinking and expression.

Before class, I communicate with students to understand their learning goals, real-life usage scenarios, and language weaknesses, then design customized teaching content accordingly.

In class, we simulate real-life situations such as grocery shopping, seeing a doctor, business negotiations, dining out, and job interviews. Students are guided to think in Chinese instead of relying on translation. They learn by doing, develop a language sense, and turn grammar rules into natural, instinctive expression.

I integrate real news clips, classic movie scenes, popular Chinese songs, social media content, and daily dialogues into lessons. These vivid, contextual materials help students grasp the logic, rhythm, and usage of Chinese, gradually forming a natural language sense and absorbing Chinese thinking in an immersive environment.

I help students build a complete logical thinking framework in Chinese, explaining the cultural connotations, expression rules, and ways of thinking behind the language. I guide them to understand how and why native speakers express themselves this way, helping them shift from “memorizing Chinese” to “thinking in Chinese,” and progress from “speaking Chinese” to expressing appropriately and naturally with authentic language intuition.

2. For Children & Teens (Ages 9–17)

In teaching Chinese to students aged 9–17, I prioritize interest and practicality, helping them learn and enjoy Chinese in a relaxed and natural atmosphere.

In class, I use high-quality cartoons, fun short videos, interactive games, and children’s favorite toys to engage students and reduce learning resistance. I also simulate real-life, school, and social scenarios, integrating Chinese characters, vocabulary, and oral expressions into stories and conversations. Students acquire Chinese naturally through watching, listening, playing, and speaking, rather than by rote memorization.

Teaching focuses on standard Mandarin pronunciation, daily communication, reading comprehension, and basic writing, laying a solid foundation step by step and gradually developing language sense and Chinese thinking. With consistent encouragement and respect for each student’s learning pace, I make Chinese learning fun, useful, and relaxed, truly improving their language ability and cultural awareness.
