As an experienced dance teaching, working in many dance studios in the Maitland and Newcastle area before becoming a high school dance, PDHPE, drama and visual arts teacher, I possess a passion for dance and movement. I have taught many students privately and in classes to succeed in local Eisteddford and competitions, tutored school students and have a strong technical dance background.
With a thorough knowledge of the NESA Dance stage 5 & 6 syllabuses, I can provide asssitance in dance appreciation, composition and performance aspects of the course.
I have run my own dance studio, catering for adult learners, with a focus of fostering fun and socialdance, to provide a placefor beginners to experienced dancers, to enjoy different forms of dance in a non judgemental, no pressure, dance environment. Whether your focus is on learning new skills, improving movement/coordination or having fun with dance, my teaching practice is inclusive and positive!
