About Cynthia
Spanish teaching is part of a five-year tutoring career during which I have guided 205 students, from complete beginners to more confident speakers developing their own personal voice in a new language. My own connection to Spanish includes years of travel and a strong personal interest in culture and self-expression, which shapes my belief that creativity and structured practice reinforce each other in language learning. I am an encouraging, creative tutor, and I actively push students to express their own genuine ideas in Spanish rather than simply repeating memorized phrases. Many students arrive lacking confidence initially, and I help build it.

My Spanish lessons blend solid grammar foundation with genuine creative exploration, encouraging students to write or discuss their own ideas in Spanish alongside structured conversational practice developed carefully together. I introduce grammar practically, showing students exactly how a structure applies to something they genuinely want to say or write about in their own words. Lessons stay short and focused, since I find brief, well targeted practice consistently outperforms long repetitive drills that quickly lose a student's genuine interest. I use short recordings regularly for pronunciation review and reinforcement between lessons throughout the process.
