About Alina
I’m a passionate tutor with a strong background in science, medicine, and dermatology. As a premed student with aspirations to become a dermatologist, I understand the challenges of balancing rigorous coursework, research, and career planning. My goal is to make complex scientific concepts more accessible and engaging by connecting them to real-world applications, especially in the medical and skincare industries. Beyond academics, I have a competitive swimming background, which has given me firsthand insight into sports dermatology and skincare for athletes. I’m also learning German, which allows me to explore medical and scientific studies in an international context. Whether you're a premed student, a science enthusiast, or someone interested in skincare and medical applications, I’m here to help you master the material and think like a future professional in the field!

I tailor my teaching to be interactive, concept-driven, and application-based. My approach focuses on: Active Learning: Engaging students through discussions, case studies, and problem-solving rather than passive memorization. Visualization & Analogies: Using diagrams, real-world examples (especially from dermatology and skincare in your case), and analogies to simplify complex concepts. Personalized Guidance: Adapting to the student’s strengths and weaknesses to optimize learning. Critical Thinking & Application: Encouraging students to think like scientists or medical professionals by connecting theory to real-world applications, such as clinical cases or lab scenarios. A Typical Lesson Plan Introduction & Objectives Brief discussion on prior knowledge and setting goals for the session. Core Learning Explanation of key concepts using slides, sketches, or models. Interactive discussions, guided practice, and problem-solving. Application & Practice Case studies, problem sets, or real-world applications. Reviewing practice problems or discussing a research paper (if applicable). Recap & Q&A
