About Dr Nelson (MD)
I’m Nelson, a medical graduate from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), where I was consistently ranked the best student throughout all five years. I graduated Top 2 in the Professional Exit Examination and was awarded Best Male Student, Best Student in Family Medicine, and Best Student in Clinical Pharmacology.
I have represented USM in physiology, pharmacology, and medical competitions. I also completed clinical electives in Internal Medicine at San Martino Hospital, Italy, and Neurology & Neurosurgery at James Cook University Hospital, UK.
Beyond academics, I’m a founding member of IASSS Malaysia, Membership Manager of IASSS Global, and an AMBOSS Southeast Asia Ambassador. I also involved myself in InciSioN Malaysia and InciSioN Global. I enjoy making medicine easier to understand and helping students approach exams, OSCEs, and clinical practice with confidence.

My teaching approach is simple: understand first, memorise second. I break difficult medical concepts into clear, structured points and use clinical cases, active recall and exam-style questions to help students apply what they learn.
Lessons are usually 60-75 minutes, depending on the topic and student’s needs. I can focus on specific topics, OSCE practice, clinical reasoning, case presentations or exam preparation.
As a USM medical graduate who ranked among the top students throughout all 5 years and graduated Top 2 in the Professional Exit Examination, I understand the demands of medical school and what is expected in clinical and professional exams.
My lessons are mainly for medical students at pre-clinical and clinical level, including students preparing for university examinations, OSCEs and professional exams.
