About Kate
I am a UK native teacher with a BA Hons Degree and a Postgraduate Degree in Education (PGCE). I have 8 years' experience in UK secondary schools, 3 years teaching students online and I also hold a 120-hour TEFL certificate. I love working with young people and provide professional, enthusiastic lessons to help engage and encourage kids. I use a variety of techniques to help students learn, including props, video, different teaching and learning methods and reinforcement of previously learnt material. I live and work in the UK, where I live with my husband and our 5 cats. I love to go outside walking and cycling in the lovely countryside near my house.

Once I have established my student's needs I will work with the student and parent/s to create a series of lessons specifically for that student. The type and content of the lessons will vary depending on age and ability of students but can be very structured if needed. I am also happy to provide lessons where students read and discuss books they are reading to help them develop their confidence and comprehension skills.

Miss Kate was very good with my son Jack. She helped him to improved his English and was very kind to him. My son is often busy and she was calm with him. His reading English much better now and I would recommend Miss Kate very much.
I have known Kate for many years and know her to be very patient and professional teacher. She helped coach my son in A level History as he needed extra help to pass in some parts She was always on time to lessons and from what I could understand she provided some great resources to help my son. I also asked her to help with my daughters GCSE English exam preparation because my daughter was really struggling with Shakespeare. She did really well in the end and I am confident this was down to the preparation Kate did with her. Kate is a really helpful teacher and I would highly recommend her for your child.
