About Simona

I’m Simona, a native Spanish speaker from Valencia, Spain, with a Master’s degree in Secondary Education formally recognized by NZQA at Level 9 (New Zealand’s highest qualification equivalent). I have taught students from diverse backgrounds across all levels, and I know that no two learners are the same.

About the lesson

Whether you’re an absolute beginner, preparing for the DELE exam, or somewhere in between — I design every lesson around you.
What makes my lessons different:
Before our first class, I take the time to understand your current level, your goals, and how you learn best. Every lesson is then built around that — no generic textbook approach, no one-size-fits-all method.
My classes are dynamic and engaging: we use real conversations, cultural stories, music, role-play, and everyday situations to make Spanish feel natural and enjoyable — not like a chore. For younger learners, I bring games, visuals, and creative activities that make vocabulary and grammar stick without feeling like studying.
I work with:
∙ Children & teenagers — fun, structured, confidence-building lessons
∙ Adult beginners — patient, encouraging start from zero
∙ Intermediate & advanced students — fluency, nuance, and real-world Spanish
∙ DELE exam candidates — targeted preparation and practice

Perfect! Simona has performed miracles with our child! She is warm, engaging, smart and an amazing teacher. She has achieved real results - for example, Spanish (Reading) in IB has gone from 54% to 82% and Spanish (Listening) in IB has gone from 25% to 55%. And this is only after 6 lessons and we are still improving. She is very good and I highly recommend Simona. X
