Under my direction, students engaged in project-based learning and created portfolios that documented their progress toward the standards for learning languages. Using non traditional teaching methods, especially in cultural units, allows my students to gain a deeper understanding of the language and the 21 countries where Spanish is spoken. At the AP Spanish Language level, I created additional after school practice sessions to ensure that I was preparing students for the AP exam. For two consecutive school years, supervisors reported that I raised AP exam scores.
