About Romy
I am a business owner and have a Bachelors Degree in HR Mgmt. I have been tutoring professionallly since 2016 and love teaching all levels of my native language. Even though I’m in the corporate field, teaching has always been a personal calling. It’s my mission to help as many people feel that Spanish can become achievable no matter being a novice. In my eyes everyone can speak Spanish and I have personally seen my students progress from timidness to confidently asking good questions and growing after every lesson but more importantly wanting more. Most of my students want to continue tutoring with me because they have seen higher grades and want to continue into a higher level of Spanish. I base my lessons on where the student is academically. If they are beginning then I teach helpful tips that increase confidence right away. If the student is learning Spanish in school I like mirroring their teachers curriculum so it’s a sememless transition. If it’s an adult wanting to pursue a more conversational style of learning then we can adapt to it as well. The key is being that “link” to what they feel they are missing.

Romy is an enthusiastic teacher and makes learning fun for my kids. She enjoys teaching. She teaches at their level and makes sure they don’t struggle at grasping a second language.
Romy is an amazing tutor and is completely loved by my daughter. She has been tutoring my 12 year old in Spanish 1-2 since September and we have seen nothing but A’s on her report card.
