About Howard
I’m a native Mandarin speaker with a strong passion for language teaching and cross-cultural communication. I’ve lived and worked in Europe for over 8 years and in Shanghai for 30 years, gaining deep understanding of both Eastern and Western cultures. I have experience teaching Mandarin to international students and English to Chinese learners, helping them communicate confidently in academic and business settings. Before teaching full-time, I worked as a professional interpreter for high-level business and government meetings, including events with the Chinese Premier and senior officials from the UK Foreign and Business Departments. I believe language is a bridge between people and cultures — and I’m here to help you cross that bridge with confidence and joy.
