About Leah
I am an enthusiastic and lively teacher who believes that in order for anyone to really learn and retain information they need to actually enjoy what they are studying. My aim is for students to end up loving languages as much as I do and in turn flourish in their skills and abilities at communicating in French and Spanish.
I use a lot of imagery, songs and videos as well as materials related to real life to make my teaching relevant and receptive to students. Everyone learns differently and it is important for me to get to know my students and listen carefully to their needs both academically and personality wise. This helps me design my classes to be uniquely appropriate to my student.
I have taught English as a foreign language all over the world and have now been working in UK Secondary schools for 4 years. In this time I have also privately tutored students of all ages both online and face to face on a 1 to 1 basis.
I currently work in a UK secondary school which has a very successful MFL department which means I have a great understanding of the curriculum and know exactly what students need to be able to complete their GCSE's and A-Levels with top grades.
