About Anna
I lived in France until I was 15, going to school there and achieving great results. I got a Mention Très Bien at the Brevet Des Collèges (roughly equivalent to As at GCSE in France) before I moved to Scotland. In my schools in Scotland I helped other pupils with their French Schoolwork or even assisted the French teachers in their teaching.

I can tutor pupils who are studying French at School up to and including Higher level. I can also teach people who want to learn outside of school up to an advanced level. For beginners, I start by teaching the conversational basics, or whatever the pupil is interested in or would like to learn. For more advanced students, I improve their ability to have spontaneous conversations in order to be more at ease if they would like to visit the country. This is mostly done by simply having conversations and helping the student find what they want to say and point out mistakes so they can correct them. I would have similar conversations many times in order to reinforce the student's knowledge of each topic so that they are more at ease using the language.

‘Anna introduced our seven year-old daughter to traditional fiddle in a relaxed and fun environment. Initially her approach was to teach her by ear, which our daughter, under her tutelage, picked up very quickly. Then followed up with notation. Sadly for us Anna moved to Glasgow but that is great news for anyone of any age wishing to learn fiddle. She provided a highly workable foundation for our daughter to continue her fiddle studies through the school system. I thoroughly recommend Anna Scott for music tuition.
