About Alice

Hi! I’m a friendly and approachable native French tutor with a strong academic background in both French and English law. Having studied in both France and the UK, I have a very good understanding of both languages and cultures.

I’ve always enjoyed French and particularly like helping others become more confident in using the language. I want to teach because I find it rewarding to see students make progress and realise that French can be enjoyable rather than intimidating. I would adapt my lessons to each student’s level, goals and interests, while creating a relaxed environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.

I’m sociable, patient and enthusiastic, and I would love the opportunity to share my knowledge and help students develop their French skills and confidence.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is flexible and tailored to each student’s individual needs, level and goals. I combine structured lessons with practical exercises to develop grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and confidence. I place a strong emphasis on conversational French, helping students practise real-life situations and communicate naturally in French.

Lessons typically last 1 hour, providing enough time to introduce new material, practise key skills and have meaningful conversation without becoming overwhelming.

I have previous experience working as an English tutor in France, where I supported students of different ages and abilities in developing their language skills. Having learnt and taught languages in different contexts, I understand the importance of adapting teaching methods to each student and creating a relaxed, encouraging environment where they feel comfortable practising.

My lessons are open to students of all ages and levels, from complete beginners to more advanced French speakers. Whether you are learning French from scratch, looking to improve your conversational skills, preparing for an exam, or simply wanting to become more confident speaking French, lessons can be adapted to suit your individual objectives.
