About Aoife
I am a primary school teacher with over 10 years experience teaching grades K - 6. I also worked as an ESL teacher in the UAE where students were learning English as a second, third and sometimes fourth language, so I understand how to build upon prior language skills and build self confidence when learning a new language. As an experienced teacher, I am highly organised, reliable, and adaptable. This includes adapting teaching styles, learning methodologies, and content to suit the ever-changing needs of students.

Every lesson will be tailored to the needs of the students and adapted based on their current level and ability. Students and parents can choose to explore reading, writing, oral fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary development. For younger or beginner students we will focus on phonemic awareness which is the sounds in spoken words and the foundation for reading and speaking. This will include practicing forming letters and words (writing), vocabulary development, and comprehension skills. Older or more advanced students will focus on oral language fluency, writing and spelling fluency, and comprehension skills.
There is no universal way to teach English. Every learner is different. These lessons will be tailored to help reach your individual goals.
