About Cortney
I am a native English speaker from the USA (Michigan). I have over 20 years of customer service experience and 8 years in the automotive industry. I studied Japanese language and culture in college and can understand the difficulty learning a new language. I hope to help many people and hopefully we can learn from each other!

I build lessons for intermediate to advanced English students who want to improve their speaking and reading comprehension. I like to follow lesson plans, watch videos and discuss current events. I also love movies, reading and videogames so I can have a relaxing conversation with anyone. I love helping students who are planning a trip to the US and want to practice speaking or reading.

I can honestly say that teaching comes naturally to her. She's one of the kindest and most patient people I know, and she truly enjoys helping others learn. As an English tutor, she creates such a warm and welcoming space where students feel comfortable and supported. Her smile is infectious, and her positive attitude makes every lesson enjoyable. If you're looking for someone who genuinely cares about your progress and will always cheer you on, she's the perfect tutor.
