About Yujing

I am a native Chinese speaker born and raised in China, and I am familiar with southern Chinese dialects. I will introduce you to various aspects of the Chinese language, such as how it has evolved from ancient pictographs to the simplified characters used by most people today, and the traditional characters still used by a small group. We will appreciate ancient poetry and also use modern articles, TV shows, and songs to help you learn Chinese and develop a sense of the language. During our lessons, I will try to converse with you in simple Chinese to help you better immerse in the Chinese environment.

About the lesson

Learn to write and recognize common Chinese characters, improve listening and speaking skills, suitable for students with a basic understanding of the language. The content covers more complex sentence structures, common grammar, and everyday conversations. Simulate real-life scenarios for conversation practice to help students better apply what they have learned. Offer flexible class times based on students' schedules. Provide regular learning reports to summarize students' progress and suggestions. Textbooks include "Integrated Chinese," "HSK Standard Course," and others.

Yujing is a great teacher. She does not only have class indoors, she takes me out to experience various aspects of life. For example, she teaches me Chinese vocabulary related to the park while we are actually in the park. This approach feels more engaging than just looking at pictures and helps me remember the Chinese words better.
