About Tommaso
I am currently a graduate student at NYU pursuing a master's degree in integrated marketing. I also graduated from Bocconi University, in Milan, with a bachelor's of science where I studied economics and management for the arts, culture, and communication.
I grew up in Connecticut to Italian immigrant parents and have lived my whole life straddling the Atlantic, with one foot in the US and the other in Italy. I understand the unique nuances of the Italian language and culture, especially coming from the American culture. I find joy in teaching people the little subtle differences of the Italian mindset, cultural practices, figures of speech, and so much more.
I am passionate about my Italian heritage and I love sharing it!

I believe that conversations are fundamental in learning any language. My tutoring sessions are conversation-based and student-led, where I like to give students the vocabulary and confidence to discuss what they want.
I like to think of myself as a tutor and friend, and less of as a capital T Teacher. We can learn however the student prefers, whether by textbook or by specially curated lesson plans.
My tutoring specializes in understanding the unique nuances of the Italian language in culture from an American perspective.
These lessons are for beginner or intermediate-level Italian learners: those who want to learn the basics, improve vocabulary or fluency, or just find an Italian speaking partner.
