About Carolina
I am Carolina and I have been an English teacher for more than 14 years, focusing more on private tutorring. I have experience with students from all over the world, of all ages, professions and with the most varied goals. I specialize in teaching students who will take English Proficiency tests such as TOEFL, TOEIC and IELTS. I was raised in a bilingual environment and studied for many years in an American school. I also majored in English at UFPR.

Due to the fact that learning is an individual process, the instructor must adapt their teaching method to the student. A good teacher helps to promote autonomy in their students, having a broad knowledge of everything, using all the available tools too inspire curiosity. I provide my students with broad range of tools from books to apps that help them with everyday learning. My approach to grammar is more conceptual, interpretive, and practical. Phonetics and Phonology are used whenever possible and an be taught in a more academic way or in a more playful manner such as reading children's poetry books.
