About Ursula

When I was in Spain I was a private tutor for children between 5 to 11 years old. During my life in Liverpool, I have been teaching Spanish to English people and other nationalities, since 2017. I adapt to every level. I finished my PGDE in languages at Liverpool John Moores University and I have been working in a few different schools, at the moment I am working at Archbishop Blanch. My students have recognised me that they have learnt more and quickly with me than with other teachers. I try to have a sense of humour and parts of my classes do funnies, I like to motivate my students and I always finish my classes with a little applause to show them my appreciation for their hard work.

About the lesson

The first class the student should do a level test, which is going to help to prepare the future classes and we would speak about the student's needs and what are their goals. This first meeting is free. I try to adapt to every student because everyone is different. In my classes, I like to dedicate time to grammar and conversation. Every day we choose different subjects to speak, for example; family, sport, environment. At the end of the class, I try to some games or to speak about subjects which they are interesting to my students. I involve with my students 100 per cent because they are very important to me.

Perfect! Un sol de persona. Le importa mucho la experiencia del alumno y es capaz de naturalmente crear un ambiente muy divertido y relajado con su personalidad abierta y cálida. La recomiendo a cualquier persona que quiera aprender el español. Apredía y mejoraba muchísimo hablando con ella. Una profesora estupenda!! Gracias por todo Ursula! :)

I have been learning Spanish with Ursula for approximately 6 months and I feel I have improved significantly in all aspects of Spanish in this time. Her lessons are engaging, fun and well paced.

Ursula is very approachable and points out mistakes in a sensitive yet assertive manner. In addition, the homework she gives is well thought out and covers speaking, reading and listening. I've found this particularly helpful. We will then go over the homework during the lesson in detail, which is a great way to pick up on anything I don't quite understand.

I would highly recommend Ursula to anyone wanting to learn Spanish no matter what their level.
