About Maeve
Music is the most integral part of my life, and I would love to share that with others. I have been playing the piano since age 5, taking decades of practical and theoretical lessons. I have been taught through private teachers, Victoria School of the Arts for junior high and high school, and theory and history of music at the University of Alberta. I have sung in a world-touring choir for over 5 years, as well as other local choirs. I have experience with a few band instruments as well!

I would describe my teaching style as highly adaptable. I do not really prefer one teaching method, or one way of interacting with students in their lessons. Each student's needs and learning styles are different, and as such, I like to tailor my lessons to each individual. In the past, I have combined the use of different learning materials and props, as well as used different book series for lessons and theory including the Bastien Piano series, the Piano Adventure series, and the RCM series.
