About Connor

I am a musician and writer with a Master's in Double Bass Performance at the University of Toronto. I have been performing and teaching in classical, folk, jazz, and pop for several years. I play several instruments spanning a variety of genres, and have also worked as a music theory tutor at the university level.

About the lesson

My approach is all about creating dialogue with my students, so I can work with them to figure out their individual style of learning. I like to use a holistic style of pedagogy that incorporates the practical and theoretical, so that those skills can reinforce each other. This way, the student develops a sense of the structures of music while also playing and experiencing the joy of performance.
