About Elizabeth
I have been a pianist since the age of 4 and have performed since the age of 6. I have taught the piano since the age of 15 with my youngest student starting at age 5. As well as receiving a scholarship to the Junior Trinity Laban Conservatoire, I also have experience teaching music theory to Grade 5 level (which I passed with distinction).

Music has always been a passion of mine so the first reason I teach is to encourage a love of music. My teaching methodology is focused on ensuring excellent technique before moving on to taking exams. All too often people learn how to pass exams but they don't learn how to play and enjoy music - I'm here to change that. Music theory can be intimidating, especially to younger tutees, but I use simplified worksheets and create memorable rhymes so that people can remember the rules of music theory in a way that suits them.
