About Thurman
"Struggling to finish songs happens to everyone when they start out, and I remember feeling stuck in that cycle for a long time. Producing music for 8 years taught me that perfectionism is often the enemy of progress. I earned a Bachelor of Music Production from JMC Academy to formalize my understanding of the craft.
Throughout my career, I have mentored many students through the messy middle of the creative process. It is common to have folders full of incomplete ideas that never see the light of day.
My focus remains on turning those loose loops into shareable, cohesive songs. I have worked with gigging musicians and career switchers who need practical results.
Adult learners often have limited time, so we make every minute count during our sessions. You will find that my approach is relaxed and creative rather than rigid.
I prefer to meet you exactly where you are currently at in your journey. We will keep things steady and realistic while building your confidence as a producer. You can expect a patient partner who is committed to getting you across the finish line."

"Do you find yourself starting dozens of beats without ever reaching a final mix? Many producers get trapped by the technical side and lose sight of the musical goal.
We will address this by setting up a solid home studio environment that makes creative flow easier. You will gain clarity on gain staging and signal flow to keep your projects clean from the start.
We will examine tempo and groove to ensure your drums provide the right foundation for your tracks. Synthesis and sound design will become intuitive tools rather than confusing obstacles in your workflow. We will also refine your use of EQ and compression to polish your sound professionally. These sessions are designed to give you a clear path toward that finished, shareable track you have been aiming for."
