About Asa
Outside of tutoring, I work as a professional audio engineer, producer and DJ. Having released my own music for over 7 years, I am dedicated to sharing the skills and experience I have gained through years of professional practice, bridging the gap between academic study and real-world music production.
I understand how important it is for students and parents alike to feel assured that they are in safe and capable hands. I am currently studying Music Production and Music Technology at degree level, meaning my knowledge is current, relevant and informed by the very latest developments in the industry. Having also gone through both Music GCSE and Music Technology A Level, I have experience in grading, examinations and coursework, which I apply to all of my academic tutoring sessions.
With 11 years of hands-on music production experience, I bring real-world industry knowledge into every lesson, giving students an insight into how music technology is applied professionally beyond the classroom. This practical background, combined with my academic studies, means I am uniquely placed to offer tuition that is both theoretically sound and creatively inspiring.
I take my responsibility as a tutor seriously and approach every lesson with professionalism, patience and genuine enthusiasm for the subject. Students can expect clear communication before, during and after lessons, with honest and constructive feedback provided throughout. Parents are always welcome to discuss their child's progress at any time.

My approach to tutoring is relaxed, flexible and tailored entirely to the individual student. Whether you are a complete beginner or working towards a specific qualification, I adapt my teaching style to suit your pace, learning preferences and goals.
Lessons typically last one hour, though this can be adjusted depending on the student's needs and concentration levels. Sessions will revolve around hands-on, practical learning, directly in a DAW (Logic Pro preferred). Theory and technical knowledge for exam success is also applied where relevant.
As a current Music Technology and Production BA student, I bring both academic knowledge and real passion for the subject to every lesson. My understanding of current coursework requirements means I am well placed to support students preparing for GCSE and A Level Music/Music Technology examinations, helping with topics such as sequencing, audio recording, mixing, and music technology theory.
My lessons are suitable for ages 11 and upward, from complete beginners exploring music production for the first time, to students needing focused exam preparation and coursework support. No prior experience or equipment is necessary.
