About Addassa
Born and raised in London, I discovered from an early age that music is my passion. During my early years I was introduced to the guitar and keys before finally choosing what was to be my primary instrument, my voice! Trained in the contemporary arts, singing has always been a keen interest. At age 12, I started vocal training, achieving Grade 8 in vocals with RSL awards. I also enjoyed setting up bands throughout my school and college years performing in school concerts and later representing my college in music competitions. Throughout my career, I have blended my contemporary training with the world of classical music and in recent years have had the pleasure of working with the BBC. As an active member of the BBC Proms Youth Choir, I have performed in prestigious venues such as the Royal Albert Hall as well as featuring on BBC Radio 3. I am dedicated to music education and have undertaken a master's degree in the subject area. I have a unique and fun way of teaching with my passion for music theory staying at the centre of lessons.

Hello! I am a music university graduate who previously studied at an award-winning independent music university The Academy of Contemporary Music. I also have a Master's Degree in Music Education from Kingston School of Art and finished with a Distinction. I currently teach all Rockschool Vocal graded examinations from grades 1 to 8 to all ages and I am transitioning all of my students to the new Rockschool 2021 Syllabi. How do the Singing lessons work? I teach contemporary singing using the Rockschool vocals syllabus as my base for teaching and examination material. So if you are a contemporary singer, who likes to sing Pop, Rock, Jazz and other contemporary styles these singing lessons are for you! My lessons are tailored to each and every one of my students. Everyone has different tones and vocal characteristics and it is my job to encourage your originality! One of the ways I do that is through creating singing exercises tailored to each of my students - this way everyone's individuality can be celebrated. How does Mentoring work? My role as a mentor will be to support you and offer some encouragement in setting and reaching your own goals. I will offer feedback and a chance for you to ask questions about career and education-related topics. As a music graduate myself, I can particularly offer my services to those looking for some direction in this area. Please note: Lessons take place at a professional music studio and online only. I do not travel to students' homes.
