About Lisa
I’m currently in the process of working my way towards becoming a music therapist. I’m a graduate from Edinburgh College in collaboration with Kingston University in London with a degree in Music. My main instrument is Vocals and have done grades 1-8 In performances as well as technical exercises. I have a vast range of experience in community settings and am experienced in assisting with personal and academic goals. I have had personal struggles with confidence and self esteem and am sensitive to this and understand how to take steps to combat this in a safe and non judgemental space. I want to create an atmosphere of trust, enjoyment, creativity and comfort in expression, assisting with academic studies or musical hobbies.

My teaching methodology involves a person centred approach. Working with clients to devise individual goals and get to know them and understand them is at the heart of the way that I teach. I understand that everyone learns differently and aim to adapt my teaching in the best way for each client. My methods include discussing and devising a plan with achievable goals and guiding the student to reach that in an environment that is welcoming, fun and open.
