About Larry

I am a retired K-12 music teacher of 30 years. I am a proficient, published, and performed composer for soloists and ensembles. I run a website of all my relevant compositions that I give in the public domain for anyone to use.

About the lesson

My teaching methods include use of technology (google classroom, pear deck, google slides, Finale), and my philosophy is that everyone has the right to study music as far as talent and desire allow. My lesson plans often are tailored to the learner, and are differentiated to different learning styles. I can give lessons to all ages but can easily tutor college level music theory, orchestration, and arranging. I am proficient on strings, brass, woodwind, and percussion.

This man has a heart of gold and a love of music! I have seen the impact he has on students who are serious about music. He impacted my little neighbor boy this year with all the knowledge and background information he has for music. My little guy was so excited to come over and share everything he had learned and look up those songs on the internet to play for me. He allowed our foreign exchange students opportunities with the band and marching band. They had never been in band before. He even wrote music from thei countries to play at concerts. An amazing man who I would highly recommend to students who want to learn more.
