About Matthew

Music and history have always played a key role in my life growing up. From musical theater as a child to orchestration and analyzing scores as an adult, to reading and visiting historical sites and books throughout my life. Teaching has led me to develop a passion for each subject in new and invigorating ways. I would like to continue inspiring students as my own teachers have inspired me.

About the lesson

I have seven years experience as a piano tutor. Four years as a music and history teacher at Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate (higher and ordinary) level. I have corrected the Junior Cycle common level paper for the State Examinations Commission for the last three years. Classes are/include: - adapted to the individual needs of the student. - interactive methods of teaching. - how to break down each question and know how to answer it. - tips and tricks to answer questions of all levels. - help to achieve higher grades in your paper. - give a firm grounding in the rudiments of each subject. - know all key terms and definitions to each chapter. - revision and aid to all aspects covered in the curriculum.
