About Sarah
I have taught music theory for 5 years now to ages ranging from 6 to 16, having all of my students passing graded theory from ABRSM (Grade 1 to 7).
I have been playing/studying classical violin for 15 years and study Music Theory, Composition and Arranging intensely within my Degree.
I am in the final year of my degree, focusing my attention on the works of Bach and Mozart.
I have also studied within the field of audio production for the past 5 years, and am very adept within this field

I approach each topic by first asking a few simple questions to gauge where my students skill level is. From here I will plan my sessions around my students needs. I ensure that my students walk away with a clear understanding as to what has been taught, as well as useful techniques for them to remember the bedrock of the theory. I teach using the Kodaly method, then develop this to help explain more intricate topics.
I approach my classes with an air of youthfulness as I strongly believe that Music Theory should inspire music rather than dampen anyones spirit.
