About Rebecca
I have a passion to encourage every student that I teach, giving every young person an equal opportunity to grow into their full potential. I believe that the key to nurturing a student’s enthusiasm is to explore their interests and what teaching style suits them best and use that as a starting point to develop from. I saw this first-hand, teaching at World Heart Beat Music Academy when I enquired about every student’s preferred genres/musicians and we started by learning the melodies from those songs by ear. I found that this instantly sparked inspiration and started them on a new path of discovery.

I am currently finishing my final year studying jazz at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Since starting university in September 2020, I have developed my playing and composing, diversifying into new genres and instruments all whilst developing my educational practice. I have a passion to encourage and nurture every student that I teach. I am very organized and hardworking, tailoring lessons for each individual young person, whilst nurturing their creative interests, to achieve their full potential.
