About Harsh

Hello! I am a postgraduate in Physics and Astrophysics from Savitribai Phule Pune University, in a joint program with the Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA).

I completed my Master's degree in July 2025, with a strong academic foundation in theoretical and observational physics. During my postgraduate studies, I developed a particular interest in astrophysics, especially the physics of accretion discs around compact objects.

As part of my academic research, I worked on developing mathematical and computational models to understand accretion disc emission. I independently worked on scientific programming, numerical integration, model development and debugging. This experience strengthened my ability to approach challenging problems systematically and explain complicated concepts clearly.

I enjoy learning and sharing knowledge. My teaching philosophy is based on building a strong conceptual foundation, encouraging curiosity and helping students understand the reasoning behind mathematical equations and physical principles.

I teach Physics, Mathematics, Python programming and LaTeX, adapting my lessons to each student's background, learning pace and goals.

Whether you are preparing for school or university examinations, strengthening your fundamentals, or learning programming for scientific applications, I would be happy to help you on your learning journey.

I believe every student can understand difficult concepts with the right guidance, patience and consistent practice. I look forward to helping you develop confidence and genuine interest in the subject!

About the lesson

I am a postgraduate in Physics and Astrophysics, with a strong academic background and research experience in astrophysics. I enjoy teaching and helping students develop a deeper understanding of scientific concepts rather than simply memorizing formulas.

My teaching approach:

My teaching methodology focuses on building concepts from the fundamentals. I believe that understanding the physical meaning behind equations is just as important as learning how to solve numerical problems.

I use simple explanations, mathematical derivations, real-world examples, diagrams and problem-solving exercises to make complex topics easier to understand. I also encourage students to ask questions and develop their own approach to solving problems.

Structure of my classes:

1. Understanding the student's current knowledge and learning objectives.
2. Explaining the fundamental concepts step by step.
3. Working through mathematical derivations and important examples.
4. Solving numerical problems and practice questions together.
5. Reviewing the topic and addressing any remaining doubts.

Subjects I teach:

- Physics (Class 11 and 12)
- Undergraduate Physics
- Classical Mechanics
- Quantum Mechanics
- Mathematical Physics
- Electrodynamics
- Thermodynamics and Statistical Mechanics
- Python programming for scientific applications
- LaTeX for academic and scientific writing

What makes my classes different?

My postgraduate education and research experience have given me practical exposure to mathematical modeling, scientific programming, numerical methods and astronomical data analysis. I have independently developed scientific models using programming, which has strengthened my problem-solving and analytical skills.

I aim to connect theoretical knowledge with practical applications wherever possible. My goal is not just to help students perform well in examinations, but also to develop their scientific thinking, confidence and curiosity.

Who are my classes for?

My classes are intended for school students (Classes 11–12), undergraduate physics students, and beginners interested in learning Python programming or LaTeX for scientific and academic purposes.

Whether you are struggling with basic concepts, preparing for examinations, or interested in exploring physics beyond your syllabus, I will adapt my teaching pace and approach to your individual learning needs.
