English Self-Introduction for Chinese Language Teaching Hello! I am a native Chinese speaker with extensive experience in British social and cultural contexts. Having moved from China to the UK at the age of 17 to pursue a degree in Sociology, I am not only able to teach authentic Chinese language skills but also help students understand the cultural logic behind the language. My Sociology academic training has equipped me with the ability to break down the "social codes" embedded in language. For instance, I can explain the cultural differences between Chinese and English communication styles by drawing on sociological insights—such as how collectivist values shape indirect expressions in Chinese, or how individualist norms influence direct speech in English. This unique combination of linguistic expertise and sociological perspective allows me to make Chinese learning more relatable, logical, and engaging for students familiar with Western culture.
